At Monroc, every axle is unique because it meets a specific need. From the customer’s first request to final delivery, we follow a rigorous process that combines listening, technical expertise, and personalized support. Here are the main steps.

1. Customer request and Needs Analysis

It all starts with an exchange between the customer and our sales team. Together, we precisely define the requirement.

The sales representative then drafts a Customer Needs Analysis sheet in our internal software. This sheet acts as a specification document.

2. Feasibility study and design by the Design Office

The request is sent to our Design Office, which conducts an initial feasibility study.

Depending on the complexity of the project, two types of cases are possible:

  • Short project
    • The design engineer manages the file autonomously and provides a lead time
    • 3D model and drawing are created
    • Validation by the customer
    • Detailed drawings created if necessary, and all information sent to the methods department for item code creation in the ERP
  • Long project
    • Quick study and estimation of costs (products, studies, tooling…), study lead times, and prototype/pre-series delivery
    • If the customer agrees: 3D modelling, possible calculations (finite element analysis, kinematics, braking…)
    • If the 3D is validated by the customer: 2D drawing is produced and the offer updated
    • If the customer confirms the plan and price: all information is transmitted to the methods department for item code creation in the ERP

3. Prototype or pre-series order

After defining all manufacturing parameters (BOM, routing, time estimates…), the Methods team forwards the item code to the Sales team, which can then enter the order into our system.

4. Prototyping and validation

The Design Office at Monroc also contributes to:

  • Prototype manufacturing
  • 3D control
  • Full testing: press resistance, fatigue, braking, vehicle testing…
  • Test and inspection reports for the customer
  • Definition of series tooling with the methods department
  • Customer support and training

5. Production launch

Once the prototype has been validated and any necessary modifications or improvements have been made, the Methods department defines the production tooling and specific processes.
The goal is to ensure safety and manufacturing quality, improve performance, and reduce operator strain.
